FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The questions we answer most often, with the same figures we would give you on a call. If your question is not here, send it through the enquiry form and we will answer it directly.
What is your minimum order quantity?
2,000 pieces per model on drinkware and 1,000 pieces per model on household items. Several models can share one container, so a mixed order does not have to reach those numbers on every line.
Do you charge for samples?
We send five pieces per model. Samples from an existing mould are free; for a new design the tooling cost applies, because the sample has to be shot from a mould that does not exist yet.
How long does a new tooling project take?
50 working days from the approved 3D file to a finished order ready for inspection — about ten weeks. Mould making, first-shot samples and production all sit inside that window rather than being added on top of it. Moulds are cut as a complete set, never cavity by cavity.
How fast is a repeat order on existing tooling?
There is no tooling cost and no waiting for tooling. Output runs at 2,000 pieces per day, so a 20,000-piece repeat order is roughly two weeks on the floor plus inspection and booking.
What are your payment terms?
T/T 30% deposit on order confirmation, with the 70% balance paid after inspection and before loading. Tooling is paid in full before we cut the mould. Quotations are in USD.
Which Incoterms do you quote?
FOB Ningbo as standard. Other Incoterms are available on request — tell us the destination port or door address and we will quote accordingly.
How are the goods packed?
OPP bag as standard, then a 5-ply corrugated export carton. Colour box, gift box and your own artwork are available on request. Euro pallets of 1200 × 800 mm can be used if you need them; by default the container is loose-loaded, which fits more pieces in the same space.
Can you print our logo on the product?
Yes. Screen printing, pad printing and laser engraving are all run in-house, and which one suits your product depends on the surface, the number of colours and how much the print has to survive in a dishwasher.
Are your products suitable for food contact?
We hold a Chinese production licence for food-grade plastic packaging containers, are ISO 9001:2015 certified and are amfori BSCI audited by SGS. Requirements differ by market, so tell us where the goods are going and we will confirm which material and which test report your importer will need.
Do you own your moulds, or do you sub-contract?
Puyun began as a mould shop. Structure review, 3D design, steel selection and machining all happen in-house, and your mould stays in our plant and runs only your orders. Production runs on our own 58 injection machines — your order is not passed to a workshop you have never seen.
Can we visit the factory?
Yes, and we would rather you did. We are in Huangyan, Taizhou, Zhejiang. Ningbo Lishe (NGB) is about two hours away by road, and most overseas buyers fly into Shanghai Pudong (PVG) and continue by high-speed rail. Tell us your flight and we will arrange the pick-up.
How quickly will you reply to an enquiry?
Our office hours are Monday to Saturday, 08:30–18:00 GMT+8. WhatsApp is the fastest route during those hours; the enquiry form is better for a detailed quotation, because it gives us quantity, target price and artwork in one go.
